2011 CBR Finals are almost here!
We’ve had quite a few girls calling with questions regarding the finals, so I thought I would send out this email to clarify a few things:
Not Qualified? Yes , you can buy into the finals if you have not made it to the required # of races. On your entry form or on the membership form you will find a finals qualification fee of $35 per horse per class. You still qualify for cash and awards at the finals. If you are a non member you could purchase a membership and a finals qualifier and still attend the finals.
If you have attended all the required races but it is not showing up on the website, please just put a note in with your entry as to which races you attended. We still have some producers who have not sent in their results.
Late Entries: We will be taking late entries at the finals. The late entry fee is $30. All Late entries must pay in cash. To avoid a late entry fee, you must postmark your entry by Sept 1st.
We will be taking late ride in entries on the Thursday night. So if you are not sure when you are arriving you can still enter if the race is still running.
PeeWees: All Peewees must pre enter as all Peewees receive awards and we need a head count prior to the finals.
Dress Code: Long sleeve shirts ( pullover type OK, no hoodies) and hats. Make sure you bring and wear any Cow Girl Tuff or B Tuff Jeans because they are sponsoring the event and you will be given raffle tickets for great prizes if you are wearing these brands during your run.
Sponsors: If you would like to help out with sponsorships, you can find the sponsorship package on the front page of the website.
Camping:There are limited spots for electrical hook ups, so that will be on a first paid basis.Dry camping is $10 per night in the infield. You may pen your horse or tie in the infield at no charge however you are required to cleanup your area.
Haul In Fee:The haul in fee is $5 per horse for those horses not stalling.( It is not $5 per day)
Volunteers: If you would like to volunteer at the finals, we will be posting a volunteer list after we have done the draw. So if you can help out, it would be much appreciated!
2011/2012 memberships:If you purchase your membership prior to Sept 30th, you will receive 500 bonus points in the open and 250 bonus points in the youth, seniors and peewees. Please note that we have changed the ages in the youth and seniors to correspond with the BCBRA’s ages. It was too difficult with co approvals this year so we have changed the ages for simplicity.
2011/2012 point season: We would like to make some changes with our high points for the new season and incorporate zone awards. If you have any ideas as to how to split up the zones and award ideas for each zone, please write down your ideas and bring them into the office at the finals or email us.
